ASP.NET Model View Controller(MVC) is a new approach for Microsoft developers to use to create dynamic data-driven websites. ASP.NET MVC is a free, fully supported Microsoft Product. It provides total control over your HTML and URLs, enables rich AJAX integration, and facilitates test driven development.

The ASP.NET MVC framework defines a specific pattern to the Web Application folder structure and provides a controller base-class to handle and process requests for “actions”. Developers can take advantage of the specific Visual Studio 2008 MVC templates within this release to create their Web applications, which includes the ability to select a specific Unit Test structure to accompany their Web Application development.

The MVC framework is fully extensible at all points, allowing developers to create sophisticated structures that meet their needs, including for example Dependency Injection (DI) techniques, new view rendering engines or specialized controllers.

As the ASP.NET MVC framework is built on ASP.NET 3.5, developers can take advantage of many existing ASP.NET 3.5 features, such as localization, authorization, Profile etc

To know more about MVC, please visit ASP.NET MVC official site http://www.asp.net/mvc/

Main use of sobi2 is to “classify and show stuff” – that is, create a form which contains Information on a product/ book/ artwork/ person/ downloadable Document etc. and to present it in a convenient way. Sounds simple, but doing this with pure Joomla! (articles) is tough, because there is no form with fields to fill out, so layout and search is difficult, and, especially, there are only sections and categories, no third level, and no way to attribute an article to MULTIPLE CATEGORIES.

SOBI overcomes all these limitations. You can define new templates and custom fields, you can attach files and gallery images to an entry, there is a system for a nice tree structure, ratings, user comments, file uploads, data import, backup… beautiful. It’s very stable, well structured, there is excellent support.. And it’s FREE.

Working SOBI2 Web Sites:

fotos de mujeres desnudas gratis

loprox gel

woman amputee stump crutches

http://themebot.com/website-templates/joomla-templates

and many more.

CSV Import and Backup plugin and the search modules are highly recommended for better functionality. Only regret so far is the inability to create different fields for different categories in add entry form. veterinary use of tramadol

The difference between current 1.0.12 and the forthcoming 1.5 Beta-2 are not easy to describe, but in essence Joomla! 1.0.x was based upon the Mambo codebase, whereas Joomla! 1.5 has been completely rewritten from scratch. Joomla! 1.0.x was written with “freedom of use” in mind; with Joomla! 1.5 expanded on this and added “ease of use”. This all sounds very nice, but what does it mean? Freedom of use refers to the unlimited possibilities you have when building web-sites, and with ease of use have tried to make life simpler for the end user, the web administrator and of course the third party developers.

Future Prospects:

Very bright future for joomla 1.5. It will take while for developers to update their products and take full advantage of 1.5’s new features, but by choosing 1.5 you will have an easy upgrade path to future versions.

Components:

All the available components are compatible with the joomla 1.0.12 version. Developers are developing more extensions now that are supported by 1.5 version.
Some components of 1.0 can also be run with joomla 1.5 in legacy mode.

Templates:

No commercial and only a few free templates have been released in joomla 1.5. But in 1.0.12 version, you can find free and commercial web templates.

Why should I choose this(1.0 or 1.5) version?

If time is not on your side, go with 1.0.12. Also, if you have a small site, the migration to 1.5 should be relatively painless.
If your project is not urgent, or if you’re building a large, fully-featured site, its well-worth waiting the extra time to take advantage of 1.5’s increased potential.

Secure:

Version 1.5 is more secure and has a nicer and more organized backend

“If you are building a new site and don’t have many extensions, make sure it will be future proof and use Joomla 1.5.”

Content Management System software is available commercially from several vendors, as well as from many free or open source software (FOSS) communities.

Open source has the additional benefit of an collaborative community of programmers working on improvements and bug fixes, often able to respond faster than their commercial rivals. Of course, cost is the advantage many IT managers are interested in when considering open source alternatives, as most of these packages are available free or for a small donation of time or money.

In either case, using a CMS solution, whether commerical or FOSS, saves money in development time and also provides stronger security through the technical support of the software vendor or the collaborative programming community.

Commercial CMS solutions

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) and Windows SharePoint Services are the software giant’s approach to not only content management, but also document management and other collaborative workplace functions. It’s a large, impressive solution, and the 2007 version added many of the features its Open Source competition already had: blogs, news feeds via RSS, custom content types, polls and more. For many IT professionals specifying a CMS solution, SharePoint is the choice because of its Microsoft pedigree; the old adage that no one ever lost their job by specifying Microsoft is still true at many businesses. That said, there are benefits and drawbacks to using SharePoint as your CMS solution.

Benefits

melatonin urine

Comprehensive content and document management capabilities.

Consistent look and feel to end users plus excellent integration with Microsoft Office applications.

Technical support available directly from the vendor.

country wide home loan

Drawbacks

Hardware and software requirements may be overkill for a small business looking to simply manage an intranet or an interactive web site/business blog.

Expensive, especially compared to Open Source alternatives

Microsoft’s primary competitor in the comprehensive CMS solution market is IBM’s Websphere product. There are also numerous CMS products targeted at specific types of businesses, such as newspapers or healthcare, but those are beyond the scope of this article.

Free or Open Source software (FOSS) solutions

There have been hundreds of Open Source CMS packages written since 2000. Some continue to be updated by a small, fiercely dedicated group of supporters, while many are no longer supported and should be avoided.

After a consolidation of users over the past few years, a handful of Open Source CMS products have risen to the top. Your choice in selecting one of them will be affected by the technical specifics of your web server, because their database and programming language requirements vary. But all of the products listed below are supported by a strong group of users and programmers. General benefits and drawbacks of choosing an Open Source CMS solution are:

Benefits

The basic functionality needed for an effective content management solution, without additional overhead that may be unnecessary.

Good scalability. Open Source CMS solutions are used by individuals, small businesses, newspapers, magazines and large corporations.

Support of a community of dedicated volunteer programmers. Often bug fixes are patched within hours of the support request.

Low cost. Often completely free.

Large number of low-cost or free add-on modules and templates make it easy to customize your site the way you want it without having to do a lot of programming yourself.

level dilantin

Drawbacks

It’s not Microsoft. The fact that Open Source CMS solutions are based on other Open Source software such as Linux, PHP and MySQL instead of Microsoft’s equivalents may make it a tough sell in a corporate IT environment.

Documentation and support by volunteers can be spotty, after all, they’re volunteers. When it’s good, it can exceed the response you’d get from a big commercial vendor. When it’s bad, it’s awful.

Using add-ons from several sources means having to keep track of updates and patches from each of those programmers instead of a single central vendor.

While not common, the nature of volunteer Open Source means that a project community can be split over a conflict, causing one group to stop supporting the project or “forking” a new version off the original software.

The leading Open Source CMS packages are listed below, along with their current version number and general technical requirements.

Market leaders

Drupal. Current version 6.0. Legacy version 5.7. Requires PHP 4.3.5+, MySQL 3.23.17+ (version 6 will require MySQL 4.1+), Apache 1.3+ or IIS 5+

Joomla! Current version 1.5.1. Legacy version 1.0.15. Requires PHP 4.4.7+, MySQL 3.23.x+, Apache 1.3+.

But Flash requires video codec to run .WMV videos. Flash has also limitation to play other video file.

SL supports Scalable full screen video.
Flash does not support Scalable full screen video.

SL supports the WPF animation model, which is time based instead of frame based.
The animation model is frame based in Flash.

SL lets you embed true type font information directly into your projects, and download that information with the downloader object.
Dealing with fonts is fairly complex with flash.

SL does not support GIF, BMP format. It supports only JPG and PNG file format.
Flash support all image formats.

In SL the XAML is declarative while.
ActionScript is an imperative language, which brings itself the pitfalls of imperative languages.

Per pixel bitmap editing, bitmap filters & effects (drop shadow, blur, and glow) cannot be done in SL.
Can be done in Flash.

Silverlight uses XAML which is text based and can be output using a simple XML object.
Flash stores its shapes using binary shape records. In order to write shape definitions, you will need to either license a 3rd party Flash file format SDK.

Developer can use JavaScript as well as managed code VB.Net, C# for Silverlight development.
Only Action Script can be used as programming tool in Flash.

Using Silverlight Streaming, you can build a total video content site using Silverlight at no cost. The future for this service looks good.

Because of the Silverlight Streaming service, the existing Video Content sites might be moving to Silverlight site.No such free streaming service is available in Flash server. sugarland it happens

Silverlight is a browser plug-in that that extends the web development experience far beyond the limitations of plain HTML and JavaScript. Being a Microsoft product, you might expect it to work best (or only) on Windows and Internet Explorer. So you may be pleasantly surprised to know that it works equally well on Windows and on the Mac, and it also works equally well on the Firefox and Safari web browsers. Since Silverlight is a client side technology, it doesn’t matter what backend server software or platform you’re running – even Apache/Linux will do just fine.

Features of Silverlight:

Incorporates Windows Presentation Foundation Core

Contains CLR (Common Language Runtime) and most important base classes from the .NET Framework

Supports programming in C#, VB, JScript, Ruby, Python

Embeds Communication Framework including WCF (Windows Communication Framework)
Comes with Data Framework including LINQ

cytoxan effects side

The Internet is undergoing an extreme makeover. In the 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century, the World Wide Web was primarily a place for viewers to retrieve information. The information flowed in a one-way direction. Websites were mostly built by “techie” folk who knew complex HTML coding and FTP site management. If you’re scratching your head, you’re not alone.

Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform

Web as Platform, Harnessing Collective Intelligence, Data as the Intel Inside, End of the Software Release Cycle, Lightweight Programming Models, Software Above the Level of a Single Device, and Rich User Experiences.

Web 2.0 for Designers

Web 2.0 means for web designers. Web 2.0 as the movement to a read/write web, observing 6 trends that signal a change in how web sites are designed: a move to Semantic Markup, Providing Web Services, Remixing Content, Emergent Navigation and Relevance, Adding Metadata over Time, and a continuing Separation of Structure and Style.

In our initial brainstorming, we formulated our sense of Web 2.0 by example:

Web 1.0

Web 2.0

DoubleClick

–>

Google AdSense

Ofoto

–>

Flickr

Akamai

–>

BitTorrent

mp3.com

–>

Napster

Britannica Online

–>

Wikipedia

personal websites

–>

blogging

evite

–>

upcoming.org and EVDB

domain name speculation

–>

search engine optimization

page views

–>

cost per click

screen scraping

–>

web services

–>

participation

content management systems

wikis

directories (taxonomy)

syndication

Web 2.0 used for Blogger in that the users can read, write and comment the information easily. In Wikipedia also using web 2.0 in this also the users can read, write, review, and debate the information. In flicker sites the users can view, upload, and tag their photos or information.

Core Competencies

Services, not packaged software

Architecture of Participation

Harnessing Collective Intelligence

Cost-effective Scalability

Re-mixable data sources and data transformations

software above the level of a single device

Web2.0: Harnessing Collective Intelligence

Hyperlinking:Sites are bound to the structure of the web by links

Google’s breakthrough in search – PageRank – uses link structure rather than type of content to provide search results

Ebay – a collective activity of its users. Ebay grows as activity grows. Ebay, only provides a platform

Amazon – sells the same products as its competitors. But they have higher user participation – reviews, different ways of interacting, user activity produces better results

Wikipedia – an online encyclopedia: Radical change in the dynamics of content creation. Trust.

Del.icio.us, Flickr – pioneered “folksonomy” (in contrast to taxonomy) – collaborative categorization.

Cloudmark – spam filtering, by aggregation of individual decisions

Linus, MySQL, Perl, PHP, on which most of the web runs, is relies on open-source – collective, net-enables intelligence

Blogging

Usable technology (easy to publish own content, rather than using HTML or CMS)

Web2.0: Rich User Experience

Applet (1992)

Java delivered Applet (1995)

Macromedia’s Flash based “Rich Internet Applications”, many years ago

cephalexin 500mg

Full scale applications happened only with Gmail

Technology that Google used was termed Ajax, which is a collection of

XHTML, CSS

DOM

XML, XSLT

XMLHttp Request

Javascript, to bind everything together

Web2.0: Visual Design?

Very user friendly

Feature rich

People are not shy to use color

But lots of white

More text than images

Logos are rounded, colorful, playful?

brite smile northern virginia

Again, very usable

Web2.0: Design Patterns

Long Tail: Small sites make up bulk of the internet’s content. Leverage customer self service and automatic data management

Data is important: Try and create a unique hard to replicate data

Users add value: In form of data (reviews, original content), behavior

Self-learning apps: zetia coupons Applications should be intelligent enough to gather user behaviour (top 10 views, highest clicks, etc)

Rights reserved: hgh buy genentech Benefits come from collective adoption and not restriction.

Always a Beta: soak roots with colchicine On the web one does not need to have software releases. Change as often,

Web2.0: Implications for Media

Publishers now no longer leverage all the content

It is now easy to create content (Blogs)

It is now easy to distribute content (RSS, Feed readers)

Apart from search engines like Google, there are many different ways to market your website online in order to drive people to your site. SEO is a long term online marketing method and so there are many other sources that increase the traffic. In just a few short years, Internet marketing has become more popular. The companies and individuals allot budgets for internet marketing constantly increase each year as more and more people use the internet to buy online goods and services.

Here are some of the most popular methods:

1. Article Marketing:

“Content is the King!” This is absolutely true. Regularly publish related quality content about the product and service on relevant sites. A Website with valuable content attracts the visitor’s attraction.

2. Online Favorites’ and Bookmarking

Website owner could promote their sites and articles in these online bookmarking sites and can share it with friends and colleagues. Other users can search these tagged bookmarks. Del.icio.us is the most popular social bookmarking tool.

3. Email Marketing:

Offer a newsletter subscription on your site and request the users to sign up for your newsletter. This mailing list provides the ability to distribute information to a wide range of customers at a very low cost.

4. Banner Ads:

In most of the popular websites, you can find the banner ads flashing. Through this an advertiser can monitor their customers’ interests and tastes. Choose the banner ad with standard internet ad sizes, ad formats, and suitable ad locations for your site, along with choosing attractive and effective ad colors – based on the latest facts, recommendations, and trends.

5. Pay per click advertising

Basically used on search engine, advertising networks and in blogs. When an advertisers keyword list matches with the user keyword query in search engines, these ad may be displayed. This method is highly dependent on the search term that people enter in search engines. Only pay when someone click on your ad and visits your website.

6. Blog Marketing

Having a blog to promote about your product and service is a fantastic way to increase the traffic. Word press is the best tool for blogging. It is excellent way to get the customers feedback and to make sure the products meet the user’s needs.

7. RSS Feeds

Really Simple Syndication is basically a tool by which content can be syndicated across the world within minutes, with the single click of a button. You can syndicate any type of content related to your product/services through this RSS Feed. A Blog platform such as wordpress acts as a best way to set up and publishing your feeds. For example, you can publish your articles, categorizing them by both topic and date posted. low dose accutane acne
